Entertaiment | Merriam-Webster
A thing affording pleasure, diversion or amusement, such as a play, concert, game, party, or other social activity. It may also refer to an agreeable or diverting occupation for the mind, such as a crossword puzzle. Entertainment has long been an important element of a healthy lifestyle. It helps children grow socially (through play with dolls and pets), emotionally (through theatre, music and dancing) and physically (through sports and games). It also allows adults to escape from the responsibilities of life in an enjoyable manner. Entertaiment is an integral part of many cultures, although the types of entertainment are constantly changing with technological innovation.
